Ecklie considers his CSIs the best team. He thinks his career is more important than the truth. Ecklie also believes that CSIs should investigate cases as efficiently as they can and then move on. This is one of the reasons he doesn't get along well with Gil Grissom. Ecklie took pleasure in the fact that Nick Stokes was a suspect in the murder of Kristy Hopkins. Ecklie once bought a Mercedes from Gil Grissom.
